Communications and Program Manager
The Strengths Lab seeks a detail oriented, self-starter to craft and execute a communication and marketing strategy and manage program timelines, resources, and stakeholders. 
Marketing and Communications:
  • Proactively design and develop the marketing and communications strategy;
  • Develop and execute communications plans, brand and messaging strategy, donor and organizational reporting, and other communications deliverables as needed;
  • Develop and oversee development of materials and collateral, including fact sheets, decks, website, donor and board relationship letters, videos, blogs, social media, newsletters, etc.;
  • Manage/ develop content update;
  • Conduct outreach to potential partners, clients, and donors. 
Program Management: 
  • Design milestone, task list, and timeline for individual programmatic projects.
  • Regularly communicate delegated tasks and project updates to team and stakeholders.
  • Onsite programmatic administrative support.
  • Support other team members as needed. 
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong writing skills
  • Education or 2+ years of work experience in communication and digital marketing 
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working with, directly, or for an organization that serves students in the 14-24 age range
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus

School Outreach and Recruitment Intern
  • Outreach to public, private, and charter schools in the DMV
  • Build relationships with principals, counselors, and teachers 
  • Organize events and recruitment rollouts at schools 
  • Book “Build + Create” Workshops with schools
  • Attend or create events that recruit students to apply for Builders program
  • Experience working/volunteering with school-serving organization
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large audiences
  • Great communication skills and attention to detail

Student-Run Business Incubator Intern

 Student-Run Business Incubator Intern
  • Coach students who are launching their own businesses
  • Manage the milestones and responsibilities of student-businesses
  • Organize business education workshops relevant to student businesses
  • Contribute to the growth and sustainability of the businesses 
  • Experience working with high school and early college students
  • Experience in the start-up process
